Baptism of fire for U16s

Achill Rovers U16s 2009 campaign got off to a faltering start this evening at the Valley against Conn Rangers. Despite 2 beautifully crafted goals from Sean Callaghan & Nathan Lavelle Rovers were soundly beaten 8-2 on the night.

Juniors bag another 3 points at home in league

Achill Rovers Juniors rounded off a good week with a second home win in 48 hours. Goals from Stephen McNulty and Mark Davitt saw Rovers defeat Ballyheane 2-0, in a Saturday evening league fixture. Rovers are now up to second place in Division 1 of the Mayo League.

Juniors advance to Quarter Finals of Chadwicks Cup

Achill Rovers Juniors defeated Conn Rangers in the 2nd round of the Chadwicks Cup, yesterday evening at the Valley. A single strike by Colm English was enough for Rovers to advance through to a Quarter final home tie against Charlestown.

U14s fightback to stay in contention

After going 3-0 down at home to Moyvilla, the U14s last night staged a massive 2nd half comeback to keep an interest in the outcome of Division 3. 2 Goals from Roy McLoughlin, a penalty from Eddie Doran, goal from Johnathan Fadian and a penalty save from Owen McNamarra meant 3 valuable points earned going into the final 2 games of the season. Juniors collect 3 points at Killala

Achill Rovers Juniors travelled to Killala yesterday afternoon and came away with a 5-2 victory. Goals from Kristof Jablonski, Kevin Lynchehaun, Mark Davitt and a brace from Colm English secured a safe 3 points.

Rovers finally lifted the U12 Division 4a Shield this evening after beating Ballina Town C 6-2 with goals from Cory Kilbane, Joseph Murray and 2 each from Harry Molloy and Brandon McGing . U18s Registration Night

Registration for this season's U18s squad will take place at Ted Lavelles Cashel on Friday June 19th at 7.00pm. The U18 season is due to begin on June 26 and games will be played on Thursday evenings.

Rovers U12s go 14 points clear and are closing in on title

Rovers U12s unbeaten this season in the league, took another step in closing the title race by beating Castlebar Celtic 4-0 away last Friday evening and Glenhest Rovers 8-2 yesterday evening at the Valley. Title hopes slipping for U14s

With a second game in 3 days Rovers U14s travelled away for this rearranged fixture against Killala. After twice going a goal down Johnathan Fadian led the line by equalising twice to keep Rovers in with a chance. U14s mauled 8-1 by Snugboro Utd

Snugboro looking a different side to the one which Rovers beat earlier this season, inflicted a heavy 8-1 scoreline on the U14s this evening at Conway Park. Clawing a goal back at 2-0 down through Johnathan Fadian, Rovers were guilty of too many mistakes which lost the game & top spot in Div 3.
