U18s late free kick defeats Straide & Foxford

U16s 12 goal thriller at home to Straide & Foxford

S&F took advantage of a strong wind in the 1st half scoring 4 goals to a single strike from Nathan Lavelle. Rovers second half comeback saw Nathan complete his hat trick with Josh McGing & Sean Callaghan adding to the tally to put Rovers into a 5-4 lead. 2 late break out goals saw
S&F snatch their 1st win with a final score of 5-7. Rovers will look to reverse this setback in the return game this Saturday. Squad news & results |

U16s away to Straide & Foxford

U18s suffer more travel sickness.

The U18s away form continued to let them down when they ended up on the wrong end of a 3-2 scoreline this evening at Bangor Hibs.
After going 2-0 down within the first 6 minutes Terence Dever pulled two back in the second period however it was'nt enough to salvage a point. Rovers now drop to 4th with only 6 points from 2 home wins. For

Juniors draw means Ballyglass keep their distance

Achill Rovers Juniors missed the chance to close the gap at the top of Division 1 when they played out a 2-2 draw this afternoon with leaders

Toal goal in U16s late late show

The U16s played host to Westport Utd B this evening and upset the form book by taking 2 points off the Division 2 leaders. Sean Callaghan's early goal was cancelled out with Westport taking a 2-1 lead early in the 2nd period. With time ticking down, Emmett Toal's directed corner kick managed to end up in the net near post to earn Rovers a share of the points. Squad info click here

U18s fight back not enough

After last weeks 4-1 demolition of Castlebar Celtic, the U18s fought back from a 2-0 half time decifit away to
Iorras Aontaithe (Erris Utd) only to lose out to a last minute winner. Sub Sean McGinty pulled the 1st back in the 75th minute with Shane Vesey following up with Rovers 2nd.

Girls U12s in first 11-a-side fixture

The Achill Rovers U12 girls playing their first full eleven a side fixture, came away from a freindly against All Ireland club semi-finalists, Burrishoole with a highly respectable single goal defeat. The result shows how far they have progressed in this their first full season as a squad.
