Achill Rovers U14s - Bow out of Cup battling

Despite having two main players out, Rovers U14s put up a spirited performance in the cup yesterday evening against Premier Division side Westport Utd. The 4-0 scoreline flattered Westport who for long periods could not get past the resolute Rovers defending. Achill Rovers Girls U14s - Lose At home to Claremorris

Achill Rovers Juniors - Important 2-1 win at Killala

Rovers Juniors moved 2 places up the Division 1 table with an important 3 points picked up in Killala. Rovers were a 1-0 down after 55 mins but goals from James Kilbane & Krzysztof Jablonski in the last half hour saw Rovers win 2-1.

Achill Rovers U14s playing a late kick off away to Ballina Town yesterday evening were extremly unlucky to come away without a point. Having soaked up early Ballina pressure Rovers took a lead when Michael Duggan slotted home a Cory Kilbane cross. Following their 0-0 draw away to Castlebar Celtic B, Rovers Juniors played their 1st home game of the season against visitors Inver Utd. Despite long periods of possession Rovers could only manage another draw with Krzysztof Jablonski scoring Rovers only goal. Unbeaten, Rovers now have 2 points from their first 2 games.

Achill Rovers U12s second fixture in grading pool 3 saw them win away to Kiltimagh/Knock. Gerard Fadian outsped the Knock defence to cooly slot home the first on 10 mins. Despite an equaliser Rovers took control through a second by Fadian and a Colm O'Malley penalty. Knock scored a late second for the fixture to end 2-3 in Rovers favour. Achill Rovers U14s lost their opening fixture in Division 3 at home to Straide & Foxford by 2-4. After going 2-0 down in the first half Rovers pulled the score back to 2-2 through Oisin Cooney & Cory Kilbane only for Straide & Foxford to grab 2 more goals in the last 10 mins.
