Rovers crash out of U14 Cup in a 7-1 defeat

With key players missing, the U14s travelled in hope more than expectation to meet Killala in the U14s cup. After a shaky 1st half Rovers went into the break 5-1 down, Eddie Doran scoring Rovers only goal. 2nd half saw a much better performance however a hatful of chances were missed, which might have put some respectability to the final score. Girls U12s lose away to Castlebar Town in Cup

Achill Rovers Benefit Social Night in Ted Lavelle's

U12s go out of Cup after brave fightback against Manulla

After going 2-0 down in the 1st half, the U12s pushed Manulla all the way to extra time in this cup tie. Cory Kilbane struck just on half time while Roy McLoughlin scored direct from a 30 yard free kick in the 2nd half. U14s lose 3-1 & top spot in Division 3 to Moyvilla

After a resisting a long 1st half of pressure from Moyvilla the U14s defence cracked early into the 2nd half conceding a 2nd a few minutes later. With only 7 minutes left Johnathan Fadian got one back which gave some hope of a late comeback. However Moyvilla took full advantage of a stretched Rovers defence to score a 3rd on the counter and secure a deserved 3 points for themselves. Squad info click here |

U12s 8-1 victory puts them 2 points clear at top of Div 4a

The under 12s went 2 points clear at the top of the U12s Div 4A table this evening with a convincing win away to Fahey Rovers. Brandon McGing bagged 4 goals and Cory Kilbane a brace. Achill Rovers Girls U12s lose at home to Castlebar Town

Taking on a tough Castlebar Town side and a strong wind , the Achill Rovers U12 Girls lost out to both in a 5-0 defeat this evening at the Valley. Juniors hit 5 past Kiltimagh/ Knock

The Juniors continued their good start to the season with a 5-2 home win over Kiltimagh/Knock. First half goals from Anthony McHugh, Stephen Molloy, Krzysztof Jablonski and Martin Fadian saw Rovers stroll in 4-0 up at the break. U14s dig out another victory against Snugboro Utd

The U14s claimed another hard fought victory over Snugboro Utd, coming from behind to win by the odd goal. A first half headed equaliser from Eddie Doran was added to by two second half strikes by Tom Calvey. U14s claim 3 points from first outing of the season.

The U14s continued Achill Rovers 100% start to the first week of the season by defeating Castlebar Celtic C 9-1. Two goals each from Eddie Doran, Rowan Calvey & Tom Calvey as well as single strikes from Oisin Cooney, Johnathan Fadian & Fiachra McGuire saw the first 3 points stay at home. For photo click here. U18s advance through first round of the 2009 Quigley Cup

Achill Rovers good weekend of results continues with the U18s defeating Ballinrobe 4-1 in the first round of the Quigley Cup. A hatrick from Mickey Davitt and a single strike from Patrick Sweeney sees Rovers in the hat for the second round draw.

U13s end Winter League group stage with valuable win

Achill Rovers U13s put in another gritty performance against Snugboro Utd to come back from one nil to win their final home league game 2-1. A thundering left foot pile driver from Fiachra McGuire levelled score before half time. Johnathan Fadian snatched the winner for Rovers half way through the 2nd half.
