In a presentation following the Achill Tourism AGM on 10th September 2009, a grant cheque of €1000.00 was presented to Achill Rovers by the organisers of the Achill Half Marathon. The monies donated will be put towards repairs of the Achill Rovers facilities in the Valley.
Club Chairman George Collins received the cheque on behalf of Achill Rovers from Achill Tourism Secretary Kate O'Malley.
Achill Rovers would like to thank the Achill Marathon organisers for this generous donation.
